Witches in September

I Put a Spell on You!

It all started at my Nana's house, in her crowded living room filled with collector christmas villages and small vintage houses. In between the old cabbage patch dolls and bags of scattered food (she is the one you want to visit during an apocalypse). My Nana lived through hard times: war, depression, and "female domestication at it's prime", to name a few. I am so proud she is now taking back her independence!

...but now back to the 90's at her house, I would plopped down in my own little chair. Where I watched my first ever witch movie, forever blowing my mind and ultimately changing my game for life!

The Witches: This movie happens to be around the same age as me!  I would beg my mom and Nana to play it over and over again. I think this is where my witchy fasciation stemmed or maybe it was that my Nana also told me Witches didn't have feet and she'd bust out a little black pair of shoes, then put them on!  I do believe her feet may have disappeared during that exact moment. She was such a kooky woman and her house filled with things added to my magical obsession to be a witch. I think she may be the definition of a witch. If you are also concerned your a witch, you can figure it out here!

Yes, I was terrified but also a little thrilled.
Hocus Pocus: My absolute favvv! This movie is tradition, especially anytime it happens to be on and I call being "the blonde one"! I have been "calling to be the blonde one" since 1993. My sister beat me to it a few times and she was honestly the cutest chubby-blonde-native-witch you ever did see. I'll have to dig up the evidence! My sister is just a year younger than me and I swear was a witch for every halloween from ages 3 through 7. She may love witches as much as me, or just shows it better. We may have even tried catch a ride on a  vacuum once. Hocus Pocus was incredible and still is, can we all have a talking cat and a dead book!?

Did anyone else loved that the cat was a dreamy hot boy! I also call Max! haha!
The Craft: This is hands down the coolest witch movie of them all. I would like to believe if I was a witch during my teens, I would be just as bad ass. This is the type of crew, I would have want to be friends with, if they weren't killers -- ya know. I do believe I have Nancy's shade of lipstick, if anyone wants to try it on!

Practical Magic: Okay I lied! Practical Magic and the Practical Magic book are my absolute favorite setting and cast of witches. I seriously had to read the book only so my could get a better look into the lives of Owens women. This is probably my favorite movie of all time actually! I might need to watch it again right now! I think my 1 year old nieces maybe Sally and Gillian and if they are, watch out. This movie is such an inspiration in style as well, even their older aunties are even what I imagine I will look like as a grandma. I'm praying I am blessed with the long Native American aged White hair. Fingers Crossed!

I was just about to ask for a best friend who is a ginger, but thank goodness I already have one.
The Convenient: Okay Shani, my sister, we need to watch this again asap. I mean who doesn't love hot guys who belong to a supernatural legacy! My sister and I happened to come across this together and fell instantly in love. Boy witches, hmm we could call them...

Va- Va- Voom!
American Horror Story: I wish I could re-watch this over and over again, but it honestly is too scary! How do I sign up to be apart of this coven? I love the wardrobes as much as I do the cast. Season three of AHS has given me a even deeper appreciation for Emma Roberts, Stevie Nicks, Witches, all black everything, and magic. Now all I'm left with is depicting the other hidden magical meanings, my Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nick CD's. Yes, I said CD's.

I don't needs Hogwarts, when I have Miss Robichaux's Academy.
I must say I love the idea that witches uphold a sexy, strong, independence. They are old souls with style and happened to be a little dark. My obsession with magic defiantly effects my style. I will choose dark lip shades, flowy garments, and boots anytime! Leather and lace is my comfort zone. *Spoiler Alert* My sister and I may not be witches for Halloween this year, but don't you worry I'm a little witchy every day.

As for this Halloween, I am going as another one of my idols, but it will have to be a surprise! I am practicing my moves now and making sure my outfit it on point. This will be my first Halloween in the actual bars (Wahoo!), so you know I have to be a little sexy and a little sweet and a little dark, maybe!

I even had to retake the Which Witch are you? quiz because I didn't get to be who I wanted the first time. I guess I can live with being Endora from Bewitched this time! Tell me which Witch you are?

Let me know what your planning for Halloween!?
*Coming Soon* A Big Surprise.

I love that you are a witch and magic lover too! My personal favorite is Practical magic, hands down so far nothing tops it. Watch it as often as I can and it plays on different channels a lot!
