Special Edition
Raspberry Mini Four Medicine Medallions

My friend and coworker recently shared an earring selfie of her in the new Blooming Quill earrings! I didn't even notice I was creating and shipping them directly to herself, until later when I received an email explaining "Thank you for the beautiful quill earrings— my husband bought me a pair for my birthday". I always see when guys order though and I'm like ooo! Obviously these men who are constantly putting in orders, are naturally keepers or have to be either really cool to rock my gems. Either way, I appreciate both sides of the spectrum. Keep it up boys!

This Valentine's Day, I am releasing a limited supply of 30 Special Edition Raspberry Mini Four Medicine Medallions. Love and healing is in the air. Share this gift with loved ones spreading happiness and empowering self love.

Just as cool, below are a FREE downloadable PDF of Ojibwe Valentines Day Cards put together by yours truly. Print and share all the feels and good vibes with Ojibwe Valentines Day Cards. Using these cards does not guarantee success for "snagging" nor do they help with rejection. Enjoy and use at your own discretion.

"Love knows no color. Love knows no limits. Love knows no borders. Love knows no distance. Love is not creed, it's not race and it's not gender. Love does not ask for returns or collateral. Love is equal. "

The "Mini Four Medicines Medallion" can be worn three ways and offers a more every day wear! I truly believe WE ALL deserve healing. For my health, my loved ones, & my traditions. Life is sacred. I am loved. I am not alone. Little reminders of hope. The "Mini Four Medicines Medallion".

Although ceremonies differ from First Nation to First Nation, basic beliefs remain similar. Our medicine bundles carry sacred knowledge and contain ingredients to spiritual well being. These powerful religious objects represent faith in a tangible way and transcend into modernity through cultural exchange and societal development. Traditional Healing is the restoring of balance to the mind, body, spirit and emotions. There needs to be harmony and balance in us just as there is in all of Creation. When you start on a healing journey, you are making a commitment to help yourself, your family and your community. Great respect is shown for the plants that are used in this specific healing. The "Four Medicines Medallion" is an embellishment that contributes to the physical act of finding faith in a time when cultural identities are becoming blurry. The unique medicine pouch is a bicultural composite of an exchange and revamped further to a multifaceted object set into today’s medicinal context. There is a need for cultural support in our new contemporary setting and this pedant defines that.

My family and community recently, suffered tragedy of losing two of our firefighters, one happening to be a close cousin. My work has never meant more to me until that very moment we found out. I needed my medicine bundle, it was only a prototype I created awhile back, but it hung around my neck with hope and faith. The simple necklace one-of-a-kind, hand-harvested, hand-cut, and sealed held the Ojibwe People’s, my cultures medicines: Tobacco, Sage, Sweetgrass and Cedar. The tangible strength that came from that necklace was powerful. I want to make that sense of hope for others in need, to help with another individual’s spiritual path, and to help one’s own wellbeing just as a rosary or medicine man’s scared pouch would. It is more than beauty and adornment, it’s medicinal. My process now has meaning and I think finding that meaning, that specific audience is key.

Please note the materials encased are natural and come from the earth. There will be "flaws" and "mistakes". I intentionally seek the imperfect, and personally love raw beauty. Each piece of jewelry will not look like the photo because your jewelry is unique, however I try to make the jewelry as close to the photo as I can. Each piece is made by hand and not a machine so tiny bubbles, bumps and slight imperfections are part of the unique characteristics of the jewelry.
