The Tricks and Treats of Halloween

Surprisingly, it was Eric and I's first Halloween together because usually I was at school downstate. We had so much fun this year and I am not going to lie and say Halloween is my favorite holiday, but that's only because I LOVVVE EVERY holiday. Actually, I should get even more specific and say I love any day where I get to dress up, eat, and be with family. I also love hosting and planning parties. I'm pretty sure I was granted the gift of party planning. I will turn anything occasion into a party (The finale of American Horror Story Party coming soon)!

I do believe I go a little too hard, but when I commit to something, I go all out. Especially for Halloween, I have had so many ideas this year is was hard to decide what I wanted to be! I started out thinking I would be Selena Quintanilla (who is one of biggest influences), then I was like I should incorporate my hunnie. I decided we could try, Johnny and June because they are true icons of country! It would pay tribute to my love for country music. After a lot of debate we decided on Jack and Sally and Kim and Kanye! Two extremely different couples!
The Finale Costume, We wore on Actual Halloween: Eric was actually the one who wanted to be Jack and Sally. I agreed only because I love the challenge of getting to due intricate makeup. As any artist would, I may have spent a little to much time of Eric's makeup and may not have allowed myself enough time to do my own. He looked absolutely amazing and scary. We actually ended up taking fourth place in the Adult Halloween Contest! We also almost missed it too.

Right before judging, I had to run to the little girls room and ended up leaving my phone in the hustle and bustle. If you have ever been in a women's bathroom at the bar or club, you know there's a party in there too. The women's bathroom is a moment for sharing, connecting with new friends, gossiping, running away, hanging out and most importantly a few mirror selfies. And if you're ever in Ann Arbor, please go to Necto on Pride Night! The bathroom's turn into communal dressing rooms to adjust makeup and share a ton of compliments on everyone's outfits! So fun, who doesn't love to be called fierce while going to the bathroom!

After winning(/losing) the costume judging, I was so geeked I needed to immediately capture the moment with more selfies and that's when I realized my phone was missing, which may or may not happen a lot. Eric already knows to have the Find My Phone App on ready at all times just incase. He has saved my life a few times! Thankfully we located it was still in the building and it was turned into the security desk! Wahhooo! I was so excited to find it, I went running back to my Jack Skellington and tripped up the 3 stairs in the middle of the room. My trusty 5 inch thick heels didn't save the day. I always where these specific heels because they are so comfortable for dancing and long nights out, but I guess not up 3 stairs! It might have also been the fact that I was multitasking and calling my hunnie to tell him I found my phone. It ultimately lead to a hilarious voicemail the next morning (AND YOU COULD HEAR THE WHOLE FALL AND AFTERMATH). The security guard did ask if I needed the EMT, but no worries I walked it off like a boss. Gah! I was fine enough to get back up and compose myself, but my ankle was not ready for the rest of the night! Overall the night was a success! Both our makeup stayed on all night, which it better have cause it took over an hour to do Eric's! PS. Never again will I do costume makeup, the struggle was real. Talk about stress for no reason!

I did wake up with a sprained swollen ankle, but if anyone asks at work tomorrow, I have it all planned out. I'm just going to say it happened hiking... Hiking up the casino steps, in 5 inch heels! Hehe!

Friday Night's Look: Kim for the day or maybe I am the Kardashian's long lost cousin! You never know! I did have to beg Eric to wear my awesome fur coat! He's such a trooper, and I'm not sure he his facial expression was because he was in character or because he hated! Don't worry I did contribute financial aid toward his $60 game, he bought the next day.

I wish my hair was this thick every day! Yes, I brought extension's from Amazon for 15 bucks, best 15 bucks I spent in a while. Actually, the whole look was from Amazon (minus the shoes)!

Kashina Kardashian, I may have stayed in the look to long that I was starting to feel a little over privileged and cocky! hehe
For the Treaters and Tricksters: I actually am not a fan of kitties, but who could pass up such a quick and easy costume. I wanted to hand out candy and be as cool as the kids who came to my door. We had a good 60 kids come to our house, which was honestly amazing due to it being super rainy and cold. It was kind of funny because the kids came in Van-fuls at a time. It was also scary because a few times I was nervous we would run out of candy! It turned out a success and we even saw a Cop Car pull over a group of kids, with it's light and all... Then the Cop ended up giving them all candy! How cool, hey!?

I saw the cutest photo on Instagram of a little girl with this makeup and had to test it out! Meow!
Pumpkin Patch with the Family: I swear the Yoop has some great intimate, family-run pumpkin patches! The atmosphere is amazing and  after carving a ton of pumpkins! We ended the night with some not so tasty, goopy seeds. Ekk! I'll add that to another Pinterest fail... Whoops!

Boo on the Bay: My first ever Boo on the Bay, and it was so cute! I had all the babies come over and we walked downtown L'Anse trick or treating at all the little businesses. It was great for our little witch, pretty clown, and cute Scooby-doo to get a bucket full of treats. Plus, it stopped raining just in time! And you know I had to dress up too, duh!
