A Little Sparkle
My priority is making to carry home.
The Gold Collection is six shimmering jewels brushed of gold foil born to shine. Each touch of gold produces a twinkle when wearing with a similar smooth texture as my other pieces. Below are my gorgeous cousins to model to assist in capturing all the glimmer and rawness. Miigwetch, thank you for being exactly yourselves, Sydni Voakes & Ti'ia Friisvall!
Can't be bought and it can't be sold

Please note the materials encased are natural and come from the earth. There will be "flaws" and "mistakes". I intentionally seek the imperfect, and personally love raw beauty. Each piece of jewelry will not look like the photo because your jewelry is unique, however I try to make the jewelry as close to the photo as I can. Each piece is made by hand and not a machine so tiny bubbles, bumps and slight imperfections are part of the unique characteristics of the jewelry.

Mandala Miziweyaa "Manoomin" Wild Rice Earrings "Gold"
Sold out
Wild rice, manoomin is the “food that grows on water”, whose presence fulfilled the prophecies foretold in the Anishinaabe’s migration from the east. As a centerpiece of the nutrition and sustenance for our community, it is used in our daily lives, ceremonies, and feasts (Our Manoomin, Our Life). The Anishinaabe would know when to end our displacement to the west, when finding the manoomin, a profound and historic relationship which is remembered in the wild rice harvest in the Great Lake Regions First Nations. Each seed holds the heart of the waters. The single seed comes from a long lineage of resilience and allows for our people to continue our thousand year old way of life. These specific premium dark wild rice seeds preserved come from the Native American owned company by the Red Lake Nation, who are dedicated to producing unique specialty products, “Indian Grown, Indian Harvested”. The earrings cherish the Creators blessings, a gratitude of the memories before us and a reminder of why we are still here, fighting.
Nature’s scars are a proof of the fact that there is healing, the raw materials I use share the power of vulnerability. Our own scars that adorn our body, memory and history are similar to the land’s unique crevices and distinct terrain, we don’t question the beautiful imperfections. I call them “gems”. I create “gems”. These are the gems of the Great Lakes region, my version of the Southwest’s turquoise and the Pacific Northwest’s dentalium shells.

Warmth Giizhooshin Cedar Earrings "Gold"
Sold out
My first memories were of dusty peach faded cedar, the plant just as beautiful as it's fresh state, was above every doorway and window ensuring all entries were safe and sound. Teaching one of my earliest lessons in life of passing through space in a good way. I walked through my mom’s little Rez home a few days ago and saw those same cedar pieces, still working their ancestral magic.
My mother always taught me to put cedar in my shoes and above my doorways. I have a medicine bundle with a bit of cedar in my car now as I travel. Cedar is one of the four sacred medicines, it is also known for attracting positive feelings, energy, and emotions. For the body & soul. It is a natural guardian from negative spirits. The "Cedar Awakening Collection" brings goodness your way. Understand some materials used must be treated with a certain amount of respect, always see descriptions.

Circle Drop Birch Earrings "Gold"
Sold out
The Exquisite Birch collection has been harvested in a respectful and meaningful way, straight from my backyard. Sustaining in unforgiving climates, the birch tree is a natural pioneer in the Great Lakes Region. High-shine and lightweight, the Exquisite Birch collection is simply exquisite. The coating that incases the Birch Bark, acts as a sap preserving the bark. The material inside is raw and sealed in an amber-like casing. The silvery white bark gives a striking appearance on the outside. The inside of the bark is a deep peach color. Both the front and the back tell different stories of the tree's personal identity and continuation, like a finger print. Preserving a natural history and like the layers that build the Birch tree the bark speaks a beautiful, distinctive truth.

"Copper" Collection
Sold out
“Copper” Collection.
Following my “Gold” collection and being from the Copper Country, the title for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for it’s abundance of copper, this collection was meant to be. It was only natural to celebrate my homelands further, all my work does that, or I try to do that. The intentionality even inspired one of my latest maternity shoots! I had the idea of using copper foil for a while in jewelry, but the urgency finally came with covering my body in it too! Anything to be naky in the woods.
